Children are inherently musical. Parents and friends can play a pivotal role in nurturing their child’s musical development in simple, natural ways that will benefit the child well into adolescence and adulthood. A Chickadee Sings seeks to provide both a musically fun, engaging environment during class, and easy to use techniques for family and friends to use outside of class.

Drawing on over 10 years of music teaching experience, we are enthusiastic about crafting lessons that engage and enrich children’s lives. Live, acoustic instruments, guitar, piano, and voice are at the core of our curriculum. 

At A Chickadee Sings, we are passionate about early childhood development and believe that both music and literature compliment each other in infinite ways. A typical class will include a book or poem, and related activities including singing, playing instruments, dramatic play, movement, dancing with scarves, popping bubbles or any number of creative fun! Also included are sing-alongs with guitar, piano, or simply voices. Parents and friends are encouraged to join in the singing and dancing, as they will add to the fun both during and outside of class.

Musical expression can often be spontaneous, and is thrilling to observe the joy children experience when making music. Children connect with you, parents and friends, and love to share the gift of music whatever you may think of your singing ability!
